Best Longline Bras for a Corset-Inspired Silhouette
Corset-inspired tops and underbust detail are back this fall, and the longline bra is the piece that gives you the line without the lacing. Here is what actually holds a fuller bust in that shape, and what is only the look.

A longline bra is a normal bra with a longer body: the band keeps going below the cups, usually in lace, so it reads like a bustier or the top of a corset. That extra length is why the style is everywhere right now, and it is also the part that fights you as your cup size grows. A fuller bust pulls down and forward on the whole front, and a longer front has more fabric to lift away from your ribs, so the bottom edge wants to gap and the center wants to float. A longline that works at a D and above earns it with three things: a firm band with several rows of hooks that spread the load, cups genuinely built for the size (foam-lined or three-piece with a side panel, not stretch lace hoping for the best), and a body cut loose enough to sit flat instead of creeping up. One thing to know before the list: these are not corsets. None of the six claim any boning, Elomi says outright that the Charley has none, and none of them cinch a waist. What they give you is the silhouette, with real support underneath. Every pick is in the BraFinder catalog now, and every size, price and feature below comes from the maker's own page, read in September 2026. Cup letters are each maker's own: Freya, Elomi and b.tempt'd use US letters here, Bravissimo uses UK sizes.

Detailed Reviews
Freya Fancies Longline Bra
Freya · 28-38 bands, B-K cups (US labels; a UK B-H) · $66
If you want one longline that behaves at a D and keeps behaving at a K, this is it. The things that make a longline work on a fuller bust are here: cups built for the size instead of stretch lace, and a tall run of hooks that keeps the longer band flat against your ribs. The lace body does the corset-inspired part on its own, and it comes in black and white.
What we like:
- The widest run here, a 28 band to a K cup, and all but one size was in stock when we checked
- Soft foam padded cups, which Freya makes for definition, shape and uplift
- Deep continuous hook-and-eye at the back, so the longer body has enough band to anchor to
Watch out for:
- Padded cups, so not the pick if you want an unlined lace look
- The lace body will show its texture under a clingy knit
Elomi Charley Bralette
Elomi · 34-40 bands, DDD-L cups (US labels; a UK E-HH) · $79
Elomi built the thing this guide is about: a longline body on a full-bust frame. The lace overlay is cut loose and has no boning (their words), so it lies smooth instead of riding up, while the three-piece cups and side panel do the real work underneath. At a J or K cup this is the underwire longline that does not ask you to give up support to get the look.
What we like:
- Goes to a US L cup (a UK HH), the deepest of the underwire picks, and every size was in stock when we checked
- Underwired, with three-piece cups and a side support panel so the shape stays forward instead of spreading
- Low center front gives a plunge neckline that sits under corset-style and V tops
Watch out for:
- Bands start at 34, so no 28-32 here
- Elomi calls it a bralette, but it is an underwire bra with a lace overlay; for soft-cup, see the Florie below
Freya Posie Longline Bra
Freya · 28-38 bands, D-K cups (US labels; a UK D-H) · $72
Freya says the Posie is based on the Fancies frame with an improved fit, and the prettier body is the point. Corset-inspired dressing means the bra edge is often visible, under a sheer blouse or at the neckline of a low top, and this one reads as part of the outfit. The floating inner wing matters at fuller sizes: it lets the wing anchor separately from the lace, so the band stays put while the outer layer moves.
What we like:
- Broderie anglaise-inspired stretch lace body, the version that looks deliberate when it shows under a sheer or open-front top
- Soft foam padded cups, like the Fancies, plus a floating inner wing that Freya adds for anchorage
- 28 band to a K cup, and most sizes were in stock when we checked
Watch out for:
- Pricier than the Fancies
- White only in our catalog right now
Bravissimo Florie Bralette
Bravissimo · 28-40 bands, D/DD to JJ/K cups (UK dual sizes; a UK K is about a US O) · $80
Non-wired longlines for a full bust barely exist, and this is the one in our catalog that genuinely goes to a UK K. The deeper underband is doing what a wire would otherwise do, anchoring the front, and the lined cups and inner side sling keep it from being a lace-only stretch piece. It is end of line, which is exactly why it sits at four and not higher: it is the right answer for as long as it is available.
What we like:
- Non-wired, with lined cups, an inner side sling and a deeper longline underband, and it goes to a UK K, the deepest cup on this list
- Crop-top look with real coverage; all-over lace with soft scallop edges that flex to your shape
- 28 to 40 band, the widest band range here
Watch out for:
- Bravissimo has marked every size of this style as discontinued (September 2026), and about half the sizes were already gone when we checked, so treat it as a last-chance buy, not a staple you can re-order
- Highest price here
b.tempt'd Untamed Demi Longline Bra
b.tempt'd · S, M, L, XL · $58
This is the look, first and foremost: the lace, the scallops, the animal print, the longline body. b.tempt'd calls it a night-out piece, and the sizing says the same: S-XL cannot fit a G cup the way a 34G can. For B through DD it gives you the corset-inspired line with an underwire doing real work; past that, the Freya, Elomi and Bravissimo picks are where the support lives.
What we like:
- A demi underwire longline in animal-patterned lace with scalloped edges, the most corset-looking piece on the list
- Made to be seen: b.tempt'd describes it as for layering or styling for a night out
- All four sizes in stock in both colorways (Night and Rose Smoke) when we checked
Watch out for:
- Letter sizing (S-XL) has a real depth limit; past about a DD it is styling, not support
- A demi cup shows more at the top than the full-cup picks above
SHEFIT Boss Longline Bra
SHEFIT · XS to 6Luxe (SHEFIT's extended sizes) · $54
Not every longline day is a corset-top day. The Boss is the comfort end of the shape, a soft, longer-bodied bra for working from home, errands and lounging, and it reaches sizes the lace picks skip. It will not build a silhouette on its own, and it is not meant to. SHEFIT's own fit note: true to size, size down for more support.
What we like:
- Buttery-soft, body-conforming longline with removable cups, no-dig self-adjusting straps and a keyhole racerback
- Luxe sizing runs into plus sizes that the lace picks above do not reach
- All ten sizes in stock in black when we checked; six colorways in our catalog
Watch out for:
- Light support only, and SHEFIT says so itself: daily and low-impact
- No band-and-cup sizing, so it cannot be fitted the way a 36H can
How We Evaluate
Every bra on this list was evaluated on the same criteria:
Holds the line at fuller sizes (35%)
Scored from each maker's construction details and size data, not worn by us: does the longer body have what it needs to stay flat against the ribs, a firm band, several rows of hooks, a side panel or sling? Weighted heavily past a DD, where the pull on the front is greatest.
Cups built for the size (30%)
Foam-lined or multi-piece cups with a side panel beat stretch lace at a D and above. Letter-sized picks are marked as the styling end of the list.
The look (20%)
This is a trend guide: does it read as corset-inspired when the edge shows? Lace bodies, scalloped edges and plunge fronts score here.
Value (15%)
The list runs $54 to $80. Higher prices had to earn it with size range or construction.
Choosing by Cup Size
B-C: Three picks are sized for you: the Fancies (from a B), the Untamed demi in S-M for the most corset-looking piece, and the SHEFIT Boss for soft everyday wear. The Posie, Florie and Charley start at a D or above.
D-DD: Everything except the Charley (which starts at a DDD). The Fancies or Posie are the polished defaults; the Untamed is sized for these cups and is the night-out piece; the Florie is the non-wired option while it lasts.
DDD-H: Go to the built-for-it picks: the Fancies or Posie for foam-lined shaping on a 28-38 band, the Charley for 34-40 bands. Skip letter-sized longlines; the depth is not there. Non-wired at these sizes means the Florie, while it lasts.
H+ and 40 bands: The Charley is the top of the underwire list at a US L (a UK HH) on a 34-40 band; the Fancies and Posie reach a K on 28-38. Non-wired, the Florie goes to a UK K (about a US O) on a 28-40 band while stock lasts. Past those, the catalog's longline range runs out: use the fitting assistant to find full-cup styles with a deep band that give a similar line.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a longline bra work as a corset top on its own?
As the visible top of an outfit under an open jacket or a sheer layer, yes. b.tempt'd says outright that the Untamed is for layering, and the lace bodies on the Freya Posie and Elomi Charley look made for the same job. As a corset, no. None of the longlines here claim any boning or lacing, so they do not cinch or shape your waist; they give you the silhouette from the underbust up and a smooth line where the band ends. If you want real waist shaping, that is a separate garment, and it should be fitted separately.
Why does the front of my longline bra ride up or gape at the bottom?
Two causes, and they need opposite fixes, so check which one you have first. If the bottom edge lands where your ribcage widens, or your torso is short, the body is simply too long for you: the hem has nowhere flat to sit, and a tighter band makes it dig rather than lie down. The answer there is a shorter longline or a regular bra with a deep band. If instead the whole front lifts away from your ribs and the center floats, the band is doing less than it should. On a regular bra a loose band shows as the back riding up; on a longline it shows at the front edge first. Go down a band size and up a cup, and make sure you are on the loosest hook when it is new. If it still creeps, the cup is too shallow and the bust is pushing the whole front down and out.
Are longline bras better for a large bust?
They can be, for the right reason: a longer band spreads the load across more of your ribcage, and several rows of hooks anchor it more firmly than a two-hook band. That is real. What is not real is the idea that length alone equals support. A stretch-lace longline in letter sizes is a styling piece at a G cup, no matter how long the body is. Look for the construction underneath: foam-lined or three-piece cups, a side panel or sling, a deep run of hooks. Those are what carry the size; the length is what carries the look.
Can I wear a longline bra under a sheer or open-front top?
Yes, and it is one of the best reasons to own one. A longline shows as a clean horizontal edge instead of a band-and-wire line, so it reads as deliberate rather than as underwear showing. Pick the lace body you would be happy to have seen: b.tempt'd describes the Untamed as a layering piece, and the Posie's broderie-anglaise look reads the same way. Our guide to what to wear under sheer tops covers the rest of the outfit.
How is a longline bra different from a regular bra with a longer band?
A regular bra's band is the elastic strip the wire channel sits in. A longline adds a separate body panel below it, usually lace or mesh, anywhere from a short border to something that reaches toward the waist, and closes with more rows of hooks to match. So it is not a wider elastic; it is an extra layer that sits against your ribs. That is why the fit rules change slightly: the body should lie flat without folding, and a too-loose band shows at the front edge first.
