Bravissimo Review: The Brand That Starts at a D Cup
Bravissimo makes nothing below a D cup. Every bra in the range was designed for a big bust from the start, rather than graded up from a B.

Our verdict
Bravissimo is the most single-minded full-bust brand we carry. It does not make an A, B or C cup at all, and that focus shows in the size runs: several of its bras come in more than ninety size combinations, which is roughly double what a mainstream brand offers. It also solves problems other brands treat as unavoidable, like straps digging into shoulders. The catch is price. The median bra here is $82, well above Panache or Freya, and you can only buy it from Bravissimo itself.
Quick Facts
| Country | United Kingdom |
| Size range | Bands 28-40, cups D to L |
| Price range | About $38-$130 (most bras $70-$92) |
| Specialty | D cup and above, nothing smaller |
| Best for | Anyone whose size is treated as an afterthought elsewhere |
Most brands start at an A cup and work upward, and by the time they reach a G the engineering is a stretched version of something designed for a much smaller bust. Bravissimo starts at a D and goes to an L, so there is no small-cup design to scale up from. The practical difference is size depth. Their Ultimate Comfort Bra comes in 93 different band and cup combinations; a typical mainstream bra offers around thirty. If you have spent years being told your size does not exist, this is a brand where it usually does.
Best Bravissimo Styles
The Shoulder Ease Bra
about $86Best for shoulder strap pain
Built specifically to stop straps digging in and slipping, which is the complaint we hear most from women above a G cup. Wider, cushioned straps and a racer-style back spread the weight instead of hanging it off two narrow points. 85 sizes.
Ultimate Comfort Bra
about $82Best wireless support
A genuinely supportive wireless bra rather than a soft bralette that gives up above a DD. Bra-sized with hidden support, and the widest size run in the range at 93 combinations.
Millie Bra
about $82Best everyday
Their bestseller, and the one customers describe as the most comfortable they own. Wireless, and it has spawned a family of variants including a lace Luxe and a floral Bloom if you want the same fit with more going on.
Millie Nursing Bra
about $92Best for nursing at a full bust
Nursing bras above a G cup are genuinely hard to find. This is the bestselling Millie fit with drop-down cups and stretch lace that moves with a changing size. 83 sizes.
Sizing & Fit Notes
- There is no A, B or C cup. The range starts at a D and runs to an L, so if you fit below a D this is not the brand for you.
- Cups use UK letters, which go D, DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, J, JJ, K, KK, L. A UK FF sits between an F and a G, so a UK G is a smaller cup than a US G.
- Bands run 28 to 40. The small-band, large-cup corner is well covered, so a 28GG or a 30J is a real size here.
- Because they only make full-bust bras, the cups are deep rather than shallow. If you have been sizing up elsewhere to get enough volume, start at your properly fitted size here rather than the size you have been buying.
What we like
- Designed for a D cup and up from the start, never scaled up from a small cup
- Exceptional size depth, with several bras in 90+ band and cup combinations
- Solves full-bust specific problems, including shoulder strap pain
- Real wireless and nursing options that still support above a G cup
Watch out for
- Expensive. The median bra is about $82, noticeably above Panache or Freya
- Sold only by Bravissimo, so you cannot price-compare it across retailers
- Nothing below a D cup, by design
- Styling is comfort-led rather than fashion-led
Buy Bravissimo if…
You wear a D cup or larger, especially above a G, and you are tired of brands where your size is the last one on the list or does not exist. If straps dig into your shoulders, or you want a wireless or nursing bra that still actually supports, this is the first brand to try.
Look elsewhere if…
You fit below a D cup, since nothing here will fit you. You want to shop around on price, or you want fashion-led lingerie rather than comfort-led engineering.
Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes does Bravissimo go up to?
Bravissimo runs from a 28 band to a 40 band, and from a D cup up to an L. It makes nothing below a D. Several styles come in more than ninety band and cup combinations, which is roughly double a typical mainstream bra, so hard-to-find sizes like a 28GG or a 34JJ are normal here rather than exceptional.
Is Bravissimo worth the price?
It is expensive, with a median bra around $82 against $30-$70 for most everyday Panache. What you are paying for is size depth and full-bust-specific engineering, like the Shoulder Ease Bra built to stop straps digging in. If your size is easy to find elsewhere, cheaper brands will serve you well. If it is not, Bravissimo is often the only place it exists.
Does Bravissimo use UK or US cup sizes?
UK. The cup progression is D, DD, E, F, FF, G, GG, H, HH, J, JJ, K, KK, L, so there are double-letter sizes between the single letters. This matters when converting: a UK G is a smaller cup than a US G, because the US system skips the FF and GG steps. Use your UK size when shopping here.
Why does Bravissimo not make small cup sizes?
That is the whole point of the brand. Every pattern is drafted for a big bust rather than graded up from a B cup, which is how most brands reach their larger sizes. Starting at a D means the cup shape, band strength and strap placement are designed for the weight they actually have to carry.
Where can I buy Bravissimo bras?
Only from Bravissimo. Unlike Panache, Freya or Fantasie, which are sold across many retailers, the Bravissimo label is exclusive to their own shops and website. That means you cannot shop around on price, though it also means stock and sizing information are consistent.
