Privacy Policy

Your privacy is sacred. Here's exactly how we protect your data.

Last updated: July 23, 2026

The Short Version

No Photos Ever

We never ask for or store photos of your body.

Always Encrypted

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Never Sold

Never sold. Your measurements and shape are never sent to advertisers or analytics.

Delete Anytime

Request deletion of your data at any time.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Body measurements you share during fitting conversations
  • Your fitting chat conversations (saved so your history and recommendations keep working)
  • If you chat without an account, we keep the conversation itself - with no name, no email, and no account attached - so we can make the fitting advice better. If you type an email address or phone number into the chat, we remove it before saving.
  • Style preferences and fit issues you describe
  • Account information (email, name) if you create an account
  • Your email address if you ask us to follow up on a set of recommendations. We use it for exactly one email, about a week later, asking whether the bras fit. Every one of those emails carries a one-tap unsubscribe, and we never sell or share the address.
  • Feedback on product recommendations

Fit Photos

You can choose to send one photo of yourself in your current bra so the fitter can point out what it sees. Your photo is never saved by BraFinder: it is not written to our database, our files, or our logs. It is read once to write your answer, and then it is gone from our systems. The AI service that reads it (Anthropic) automatically deletes it from their systems within 30 days - unless their safety systems flag it - and does not use it to train AI models. We never share your photo, or anything about it, with advertisers or anyone else. You must be 18 or older to send a photo. Photos are always optional; the measuring flow works fully without one.

Automatically Collected

  • Device type and browser for optimal experience
  • Anonymous usage analytics to improve our service
  • Click-through data when you visit product links

Use it without an account. The Size Translator and quick recommendations work anonymously — the size you enter is used in the moment to score bras and is not stored. Your body measurements and shape are never sent to analytics or advertising tools; our analytics only ever sees page views.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Personalized recommendations: Your measurements and preferences help us suggest products that fit you.
  • Improve the service: Aggregate, anonymized usage helps us make our fitting advice better.
  • Account features: Save your fit profile, favorites, and history.
  • Communication: Send service updates (you can opt out anytime).

3. How We Protect Your Data

  • Encryption: Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
  • Secure infrastructure: We run on SOC 2-certified cloud providers.
  • Access controls: Strict access controls limit who can access data internally.
  • Photos are never stored: If you choose to send a fit photo, it is read once to answer you and never written to our systems. See “Fit Photos” above for exactly how that works.

4. Data Sharing

We never sell your personal data. We may share data only in these limited cases:

  • Service providers: Hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), analytics (Google Analytics), email (Resend), and the AI providers that power our chat. Chat messages go to the AI provider only to generate your response.
  • Affiliate partners: When you click a product link, the retailer knows you came from us (but not your personal fitting data).
  • Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your data.
  • Correct: Update inaccurate information.
  • Delete: Request deletion of your data.
  • Export: Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@brafinder.com

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We use analytics cookies (like Google Analytics) to understand how people use our site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work properly. The full list is in our Cookie Policy. In the UK and EU, analytics cookies stay off unless you accept them on our cookie banner.

7. Data Retention

We keep your account data and fit profile while your account is active. Fitting chats are kept so your history and recommendations keep working. If you ask us to delete your data, we remove it from our live systems within 30 days. Anonymous chats are kept without any name, email, account, or device identifier attached - there is nothing in them that points back to you, and contact details typed into the chat are removed before saving.

8. If You Are in the UK or EU

The rights above (access, correction, deletion, export, opt-out) apply to you under GDPR. Email us at support@brafinder.com and we will take care of it. We process your data to run and improve the service (legitimate interest) and with your consent where the law requires it. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on our site. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
